All About Bed Bug Bites Waking up with red bumps on your arm? When first calling a pest control company, homeowners almost always mention waking up with bites as a reason for their suspicions and worries. Most of the time, homeowners are very ignorant of bites to begin with and don't understand that a bed bug treatment is not a random procedure done for any skin lesions you may be waking up with. This blog post aims to educate on some of the interesting points about bites, address misidentifcation issues, and finally, encourage bed bug inspections before jumping to treatments, if you are waking up with skin reactions. This blog post is a summary of ...

Silver Bullet? Aprehend; the silver bullet for bed bug control? There's been a lot of talk about the "silver bullet of bed bug control". Many products have come to the market stating that they will change the way we market and treat Bed Bugs. I believe that Aprehend will truly succeed where others have not. I say that not based on what I've read but based on almost 3 years of treatment using this product in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. At one point we owned three 150 kW generators, several million BTUs of heaters, and fans that almost filled our warehouse. I still own one 150 KW generator and a 30 KW Temp – Air trailer system (it's for ...

Unmarked Vehicles & More Introducing: Pest Control Discrete Service Standard Here in Toronto, a large, populous, vibrant city in Ontario, Canada, many homeowners (especially those in higher-end communities) are aware of the damaging effects a bed bug has on both their home and reputation . As a result, much of the competition has adopted the practice of servicing homes in unmarked vehicles - that is, a pest control vehicle without any commercial pest control advertising printed on the vehicle. What follows is a standard describing three levels of unmarked that Pest Solution Services has adopted and encourages homeowners to find companies that ...

Why Get Certified? Certification can lead to better visibility, opportunities, and jobs . In today's increasingly complex and highly-specialized economy, credentials are so important. Sure, you know you've got the skills to do the job, but how do you convince potential customers and employers you do? For many career-minded professionals, certification is often the answer. For some entomologists, it is recognized as a valuable way to prove professional credentials to non-entomologists and the general public. For others, the topic can generate a puzzled response. Why become certified? Isn't a college degree and/or years of practical hands-on experience ...

Terrible D-I-Y Bed Bug Mistakes EDIT: This blog has been recently updated to reflect some new content (April 10, 2021). "How to get rid of ______" is a blunt and common phrase entered in to search engines by homeowners upon encountering a nasty or recurring pest. Here, in Toronto, a popular destination for bed bugs, the quick search phrase "How to get rid of bed bugs" can lead homeowners down a series of mistakes causing them to get rid of a lot of things 1 - except the bed bugs. The following article, originally prepared for the Bed Bug 101 blog on the Pest Solution Services website , addresses these mistakes and explains why some common "Do-It-Yourself" ...

We, Rapido Pest Control established in 2009 in the State of Qatar & always aim to secure State of Qatar nature & environment by applying pesticides in Urban, Countryside & off skirts areas. Today, I will establish an importance & awareness of having honeybees, why they are important of our eco system & threats of losing them by the application of pesticides. Honeybees are very crucial part of our ecosystem, as they have a major part for pollination including fruit, fiber, nut, and vegetable crops. Bee pollination adds approximately 14 billion dollars annually to improved crop yield and quality (Robert Wolfe, NASA, 2016). Foragers ...

North part of city all of a sudden invaded by Brown Planthoppers as we are entering into winters. Restaurants, malls, public buildings, street lights and other urban areas switched to dark mode because of these light lovers. All stake holders are helpless as these insects are still penetrating inside by somehow. Experts are into other mechanical solutions to be tried to get rid of these. Use of high velocity air curtains, light management, switching to sodium lights and use of sticky materials is being practiced by Urban Pest Management the brand we are working for but still need some suggestions from the fellows across borders.

Being the sub-tropical part of the world, Pakistan encounters many pests of public health importance and due to lack of true legislation on Public Health Pesticides in Pakistan the general public considers pest management as the application of only pesticides. However pesticides can act as a supplement yet not the complete treatment. There are several other practices involved in managing pests. Combination of these practices is called Integrated Pest Management. Emphasis of these techniques is on control rather than eradication which is technically difficult to achieve. Lack of awareness pushed the general public to use more pesticides in order to get rid of ...

Google Home Service Ads – Some Advertise For Free? AUGUST 30, 2017 / ASHLEY B / 0 COMMENTS At this point, most of you are probably already familiar with Google Home Service Ads (HSAs) and their placement at the top of the SERP. Three HSAs can show for any given search, marked as “Google Guaranteed,” with their business name, reviews, home city, phone number and hours displayed. Searchers can click on the “More Pros” link to see additional providers. But what happens when Google doesn’t have three qualified providers in a vertical and metro area where HSAs are active? Do some businesses get top placement for free?!? As ...

Make Success a Priority

Have you ever found yourself in your office at the end of the day wondering, “where did the day go”? Isn’t it easy to get wrapped up in the events of the day, putting out fires and chasing new leads? Owners and managers are constantly juggling too many balls. So many in fact, that we often drop a few “less” important ones to insure that the most important ones (our customers) are taken care of. In the winter, pest control professionals often find the busy season in pest control has slowed and the phones are ringing less. It’s time to start picking up those balls we dropped during the chaotic summer season, and take advantage of the down time ...
