Today, I will establish an importance & awareness of having honeybees, why they are important of our eco system & threats of losing them by the application of pesticides.
Honeybees are very crucial part of our ecosystem, as they have a major part for pollination including fruit, fiber, nut, and vegetable crops. Bee pollination adds approximately 14 billion dollars annually to improved crop yield and quality (Robert Wolfe, NASA, 2016).
Foragers must collect nectar from about 2 million flowers to make 1 pound of pure honey which is barely available.
In past few decades, honeybees are shrinking from our ecosystems and “direct application of pesticides” is among of major causes & cost higher environmental changes.
It is natural if someone scared having honeybee hive at their property and try to get rid of to protect children & themselves or a property by calling pest control experts.
Being as a pest management professional and after many experiments there is a solution to relocate the hive, killing them instead.
The whole idea is to save honeybees and give awareness in the society that there is a solution to change their location, rather them killing them with the pesticides.
